Estragon

Estragon ist eine Pflanze, deren oberhalb der Erde wachsende Teile zur Herstellung von Medizin verwendet werden.

Estragon wird zur Behandlung von Verdauungsproblemen, schlechtem Appetit, Wassereinlagerungen und Zahnschmerzen, sowie zur Einleitung der Menstrualperiode und zur Förderung des Schlafes eingesetzt.

In Nahrungsmitteln wird Estragon als Gewürz verwendet.

Im Bereich der industriellen Herstellung wird Estragon als Duftstoff für Seife und Kosmetika verwendet.

Wie wirkt Estragon?

Estragon ist eine gute Quelle für Kalium. Er enthält außerdem Inhaltsstoffe, die dazu in der Lage zu sein scheinen, bestimmte Bakterien zu bekämpfen.

Wie effektiv ist Estragon?

Es gibt nicht genügend wissenschaftliche Daten, um eine Aussage bezüglich der Effektivität von Estragon bei Verdauungsproblemen, Menstrualbeschwerden, Zahnschmerzen und Wassereinlagerungen treffen zu können.

Es bedarf weiterer wissenschaftlicher Untersuchungen, um die Effektivität von Estragon bei diesen Anwendungen bewerten zu können.

Sicherheit und Nebenwirkungen

Estragon ist in lebensmittelüblichen Mengen sicher und unbedenklich und scheint auch bei einer kurzfristigen Verwendung als Medizin sicher und unbedenklich zu sein. Eine Langzeitanwendung von Estragon könnte Krebs verursachen, da Estragon eine Chemikalie namens Estragol enthält.

Vorsichtsmaßnahmen und Warnungen

Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit: Eine Verwendung von Estragon in medizinischen Mengen ist während der Schwangerschaft nicht sicher und unbedenklich. Estragon könnte die Menstruation einleiten und die Schwangerschaft gefährden.

Allergien auf Besenkraut und verwandte Pflanzen: Estragon könnte bei Menschen, die empfindlich auf Pflanzen der Asteraceae/Compositae Familie reagieren, allergische Reaktionen hervorrufen. Mitglieder dieser Pflanzenfamilie umfassen unter anderem Besenkraut, Chrysanthemen, Ringelblumen, Gänseblümchen und viele weitere.
