Sweet almond

Sweet almonds are nuts that are a popular foodstuff. The oil pressed from these nuts is used to make medicine. Sweet al monds should not be confused with bitter almonds. Sweet almond products are used as a mild laxative and to treat cancer of the bladder, breast, mouth, spleen and uterus. Some people apply sweet almond products directly to affected areas to soften flaky skin, soothe mucous membranes and kill germs. Sweet almond products are also used to dissolve certain medications in liquid so that they can be administered as an injection. In industrial production, sweet almond products are used in the manufacture of cosmetics.
