How effective is poisonous lettuce?

There is not enough scientific data to make a statement about the effectiveness of poisonous lettuce taken orally for whooping cough, asthma, cough, arteriosclerosis, sleep problems, restlessness, painful menstrual periods, sexual disorders and muscle and joint pain, and of poisonous lettuce juice applied to the skin to kill germs.

Further scientific research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of poisonous lettuce in these applications.
