Recipe of the day Peanut butter burger
Just when you thought you knew everything you could do with peanuts, along comes this burger. Peanut butter goes well with both sweet and savory dishes and this delicious version is proof of that. Seasoned with salt and pepper and topped with smoked bacon and cheddar cheese, these peanut butter burgers are a delicious addition to any barbecue.

Ingredients:
- 1 whole egg
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon of ground pepper
- 500 grams of minced meat
- 250 grams of smoked bacon or ham
- 3 whole wheat burger buns
- 3 slices of low-fat cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter powder
- 2 tablespoons of water
Preparation:
- Preheat the grill
- Mix egg, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Add the minced meat and mix well with your hands. Form 3 burger patties.
- Fry the bacon strips in a frying pan over a medium-high heat until crispy.
- Place the burger patties on the preheated grill and grill for 6 to 8 minutes per side.
- Remove the burgers from the grill and leave to rest for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Toast the burger buns while the burgers are resting on the grill until they are lightly toasted.
- Mix the peanut butter powder and water in a small bowl.
- Spread both sides of the buns with the peanut butter mixture and place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each bun. Place the fried burger on top of the cheese and cover with a third of the fried bacon.
- If desired, add other ingredients such as lettuce, onions, tomatoes, etc.
