Verzehrempfehlung

Einnahmeempfehlung:

Hinweise

As Rhodiola inhibits the enzyme CYP3A4 (1), which is responsible for the breakdown of various medications, the use of Yggdrasil in combination with medications should be discussed in advance with the attending physician, as it may be necessary to adjust the medication dosage. As the effects of Rhodiola Rosea on pregnant and breastfeeding women have not yet been sufficiently investigated, this group of people should not use Rhodiola Rosea to be on the safe side.

Roseroot is an herb that is mainly found in the colder, mountainous regions of Europe and Asia. It is an adaptogen and can help the body to better adapt to stress stimuli. The root contains over 140 active ingredients and has been used in traditional medicine in many cultures for thousands of years. Numerous studies show that the benefits of regular use can be incredible (1,2,4).

Rhodiola Rosea has been shown to help experimental groups cope better with mental and physical stress by restoring the balance of the body's stress response systems (1,2). In the study setting, it helped to reduce fatigue and was thus able to counteract physical and mental exhaustion (3). There are also studies that link roseroot with improved mental performance (5). One of these studies even came to the conclusion that taking roseroot extract improved the participants' ability and speed of reaction (6). Numerous scientific studies have also shown that Rhodiola rosea extracts have a pronounced antioxidant effect due to their salidroside content. This effect is due to the fact that it activates the activity of a number of the most important antioxidant enzymes in the human body (7).

Rhodiola has even been shown to support dieting. One of the mechanisms that may play a role in reducing appetite is the increase in serotonin levels in the brain caused by Rhodiola Rosea. This is triggered by an inhibition of monamine oxidase (8). In one study, an increase in serotonin levels was not only associated with a better sense of well-being. A faster onset of satiety and a reduction in appetite were also observed in the test group (9). In addition, studies conducted on the influence of rhodiola on cortisol levels suggest that regular intake could significantly reduce exercise-induced cortisol release (10,11). This in turn could potentially result in a pronounced anti-catabolic, muscle-protective effect during a fat loss diet. It could also result in accelerated muscle growth during the build-up phase.

Unfortunately, many Rhodiola supplements run the risk of being underdosed, not containing the stated active ingredient or having deficiencies in quality and purity. In addition, always check the label before purchasing to ensure that a standardized amount of 3 % rosavins is contained in the product. This corresponds to the naturally occurring proportions in the Rhodiola root. At Yggdrasil you can be sure that we use a Rhodiola Rosea extract standardized to 3 % Rosvarin. This was also used in 94% of all scientific human studies.

In summary, it can be said that Rhodiola Rosea can bring a whole range of benefits. In our stressful and fast-paced world, almost everyone can benefit from these advantages. So what are you waiting for, Yggdrasil can give you peace of mind too.
