Curcumin is a naturally occurring curcuminoid found in the turmeric plant. According to scientific studies, the active ingredient has a whole range of positive effects on health. The turmeric plant has therefore been used in naturopathy for over 2,000 years. It is used to alleviate various symptoms and to help heal a number of illnesses and injuries. However, the absorption of curcumin poses some problems for the human body.
